anyone else noticed that the temp rises a lot quicker on the v4 than on the old twin? stop at lights for more than a few seconds and the temp starts going up towards 100c much quicker. is it just the fact that the bikes in a higher state of tune than the twin? on faster roads the temp is around the same as the twin at about 80c. any thoughts??

I get the same thing, I ride mine in London, so I frequently don't get up to decent speeds to allow the thing to cool properly....it get's pretty hot!
"I have to do 100mph down this road officer, so that the bike can cool properly" :)

My bike does the same and has now started to loose water out of the overflow once I've stopped after a reasonable ride....it does cool down quickly once you start riding again

Same complaint by a road tester over here in OZ, apparently the radiator is a tad too small for the job??

The main frame is way too hot as compared to other Jap bikes. Is this also due to the radiator being too small.
Has anyone actually go for the aftermarket ones?
