As you may know my bike was derestricted last friday. From 33bhp to 119 odd. Didn't really get a chance to properly see what it could do on the way back. It was rush hour. :(

This is what the restrictor kit looked like. Note 10p for scale on the washers. The L shaped piece of metal screws into the side of the throttle bodies and prevents the throttle from opening fully. It stopped the throttle at around 15-20% open!
Here's the video of it on the dyno. Standard except the Aprilia Titanium Racing can and the PCIII USB. The dip at 4k is because the can needs repacking. Gained a fair amount through the midrange. It did a couple of 120+ runs and a few <118 runs too.

Oh i see ... so you will be releasing its potential now that its had its been un leashed . It does sound nice through the rev range and pretty much similar to mine although ive got the akar and rene air box :thumbup. Have you got the air box mod done on yours :dunno

Nope, the airbox is stock as far as I know.....thinking of getting a Rene for it sometime anyway, 119 is enough to be doing with for now I think. :biggrin
May go out tonight for a proper test.

hope you have fun now its full power, like the rest say just take it easy.
couple of points, i noticed that the dyno run is set in the future 22/4/08 according to the video, know that is fast if you can bend time like that. and as a matter of interest it may be worth asking milleboy82 if he wants to buy the restrictor kit, when he gets his bike rebuilt. excellent way to learn the craft of riding in the real world without worrying about all that power bitting you i the arse. learn to enjoy it slowly its less expensive in the long run.

:biggrin Didn't notice the date! That's how much power the can added. Give it enough power to bend time. I've alrady found a buyer for the restrictor kit hopefully. He had dibs way back in January. It's a bit of a pig restricted so I wouldn't bother unless it's a license thing personally.

hehe, a picture i have of that little thing getting in the way of the throttle
the washers are fitted underneath the throttle bodies, inside the black rubber sleeves.
:rant damn uk law! it cost me £300 or so to get mine restricted :coocoo
the law on this matter needs changing, it doesnt care about individuals all it does is stereotype young people as muppets, you gotta laugh when you think the young motorbike racer bradley smith cant even ride a 125cc bike on the road but is riding with great success on big bikes (500s i think.. i cant be bothered look it up n i dont remember)
sorry, this turned into a bit of a rant haha, i dont want to start a huge debate or anything..
thought you might be interested to see the restriction fitted, i did have a picture of the washers in place, but i seem to have misplaced them, uhhh i mean the picture... :laugh
found pic :thumbup
