Went for two mega brekkie thrashes at the weekend, partly through the first run the speedo went very erratic, stopped and restarted and it was fine, happened once again also.
Any ideas? or anyone suffered the same?
I did change the rear disc for a ductile iron one, would it maybe be the replacement disc bolts? presuming the speedo seonsor reads the same as the RSV Mille?
cheers in advance
PS- I also noticed that when warm/hot , my motor, once started again is really rattley, any ideas? (5.5k 2010 RSV4R)
cheers

Yeah m8 it's fucked! :)
Sorry dude. Seriously, I'd check the speedo sensor and see what sort of clearance you have or if the cables looking worse for wear.

it still does it occasionally mate, esp at really high speeds, it does go back to normal under about 100 mph. But its weird when I know im doing 150 plus but the speedos reading 86 or whatever.
Im sure its cos Im using non standard rear disc and bolts.
Think Im gonna have to live with it.
Did you change your rear disc? if not AND you are havin probs..I must be looking in the wrong place!!??

No, I'm on OEM disc. Bike is an 04 RSVR, I assume sensor is the same. Speedo is dropping to zero intermittantly or for longer at all speeds. (Can't vouch for 125+ me being a law abiding citizen!)
