Im not the best diy bike stripper downerer and put it back together kinda bloke, this map 2 upgrade, is it really as easy as pullin a triangle bit out the exhaust, pull 2 bungs out the airbox and snip a wire on the ECU ? Is it worth doing with the standard silencer or is it best to wait until ive got an upgraded one ? oh and which wire do ya cut ? :dunno

Map 2 is for 04 onwards RSVR's and 06 on Tuono's..and it's a dealer swap with the Axone tool only...
On the older bikes, it's a chip swap...or PC3. or equivilant..:biggrin

funners is right mate , the older models only require cable cut airbox mod and can/cans depending what you are running you get the chip to suit .to change the chip is a five minute job .(if you can get a renegade airbox comp cans and chip(race chip extra 1000revs) you will upset a lot of people if you can keep the wheel down (all the fun of the fair) .:devious

not thick mate inexperienced thats what i say you normally can get them together.. when i put renegades on mine it was flat felt really slow untill the chip was fitted and by f### it went then spoke to renegade at brands(jorge) who made me a carbon airbox fitted that and now its hang on time so f###ing quick and so responsive.. he also showed me that a pc on his dyno did nothing to this model of bike only works on newer models before that i had a akropovic fitted and that made a difference and ran fine without chip

I got Map 2 on my bike, along with aprilia race cans and a K & N filter,The thing is:::!!!say for instance you are moving along in trafic as soon as the RPM gets between 3500-4000 it coughs, i think it does it most gears, this is not the case when giving it a good old thrashing only when building the revs up slowly. Any ideas or is this normal...:confused
