I agree, we must have some of the best (and worst :biggrin) biking roads in the country, just a pity the weather is a wee bit lacking sometimes.
Some beautiful photos of some of Scotlands best scenery, cheers.

I just love the West Coast of Scotland. It's just one of the best bits of the planet. Once rode to Cape Wrath on my bicycle!
Not been for a few years though. I reckon it'll be good Tuono country though:bwtiller

If any of you guys fancy a trip round Scotland this year at the end of June beginning of July, i have room for a couple of peeps, it is an Aprilia trip for dedicated Mille men/girls, i do all the organising and road routes, you just turn up and let me look after you, there is no profit in it for me, i have been doing this for years for like minded peeps.
So if you fancy a trip this year with a bunch of like minded lads just let me know, i already have all the hotels booked for the 7 that are going, two dropped out due to job uncertainty so there are two places going if ya fancy it.
Some are coming from Portsmouth, Essex and Ipswich so you can hook up en route with these lads.
I can guarantee you will have a blast:thumbup
Some pics from last year
some group pics outside the Kylesku Hotel, an awesome place, we spend a couple of nights here so you don't have to carry luggage the next day

Flick, you don't need to re-run them, the roads are like a 100 mile long track day, there are some sections we do again, but there are soooooooo many good roads you don't need to do re-runs:biggrin

when i came up before, we stayed in the york dales for one night and then on to the digs at port of menteith on day two. was a very enjoyable ride and due to arriving in the dales just after lunch, we managed to drop the luggage off and have a good ride round the dales as well. the trip home was very different. pissed of rain most of the way and we did the whole run in one day. sterlin to canvey island in 9 hours. we were in absaloute agony by the time we got home and that was stopping every 100miles or so for a propper break/fuel. wouldn't do it in on hit again.

read the route plan, and recocnised some of the roads. spean bridge to penrith was quite a good road as i remember, as was the run from fort william to drumnedroget, (poor spelling). A84 and A85 were nice, road over glen coe was fast. roads around loch long, loch awe and inveraray were also excellent. rest and be thankfull was were a visit the man that runs the burger van in the car park was a southerner. does the piper still play in the carpark on glen coe above the bridge half way across.
memories such wounderfull memories just had to dig the photos out and have another look. and to top it off a whole week and no rain, until the ride home that is.

The majority of the roads you mention are very popular biking roads and are pretty heavily policed at weekends (got nicked myself for wheelying outside Inverary), the piper is usually there when the tourists are about, Glencoe is very fast but it has it's very own helicopter now just for us:rant
The best roads start at Invergarry to Skye, then from there we head up the west coast to Gairloch then Ullapool and right up to Cape Wrath, you would not believe how amazing the roads are right up there, go before the middle of July to avoid the tourists, you will hardly see a car for miles sometimes, loads of open corners you can see through so you can really commit to them, wish i was there now:pirate
That was an endurance ride in the rain you did:eek:
I could be up for a smidge of that.
Had some time on the roads north of the wall and they are fantastic. I live in Kendal and my Dad lives in Berwick on Tweed,, the A7 from Carlisle up to Berwick is stunning! (A6 from Kendal to Carlisle isn`t too bad either:devious)
