For my original bike - It was a V-twin. 2 riding buddies own twins (Duck 998S and Honda SP2) and persuaded me it was the way to go...
For the one I own now - It's a bit newer and a blot more 'bling'

yeah like vampirebitch said, they got soul, and character.Dont get me wrong those modern day in line fours are mighty fast but they are so smooth and quiet, when your on a 1000cc Vtwin you know about it cos you vibrate and shake with the bike plus i like the fact you dont have to be anywhere near the red line to get that big rush of power and of course last but not least they look damn fine too...

I haven't got one at the moment, but if I did have one it would be due to the twin (I have a TL1000S now). Twins rock!

Gotta agree with the above !! I wanted something totally different from my gixxer.
The RSV has the looks, the sounds, the soul, and a character that makes me love each and every ride - whether it's a Sunday bimble, or the daily commute !!
Just love it !!!

Wanted another Italian V Twin that you could ride and look at, not just look at. If you know what I mean

it's all about character and being different:thumbupthese milles have that in bucketloads. everytime i get off i just laugh and want to get back out there ,which i lost on all the jap bikes i ever had after a while , yes there are faster bikes(in a straight line not round the twisties) out there but don't give you the same satisfaction(or smiles per mile) and grin factor that the milsters do. there is also no finer looking machine to be had with all the trick bits you get from aprilia (factory) for the same money on the japanese front:biggrin
doesn't matter where you pull up what bike do people look at THE APRILIA because they are not everywhere and what do they say" i was looking at one of these yawn yawn:thumbup

I got one after being suckered in by a mate who 'lent' me his for a couple of days....an in line 4 is a flat, gutless, piece of crap after that experience, so hello Mr Aprilia!! ( However I have had a tendancy to find the rev limiter a bit too often as I'm used to higher rev ceilings..oops!)

Same reasons as all the above, always wanted one but had that oooo its italian and not reliable etched in my head, then the sod it lets get it voice shouted at me and ive never regreted it, somethin special about it, ill never go back to an inline 4 again :thumbup:thumbup

The olde rim tape, comes in pre-shaped pieces, 4 per side/per wheel...it's a bit fiddly but I think adds a little something ...Loadsa colours available from the ever present E-bay...extremely cheap too, so if you don't like it or the colour's wrong not a problem!

I,ve always had Jap 4s and fancied something different. I came across this site read most of the comments on mille's, liked what I read, sold the blade and bought an 02 mille !!!
I told her indoors it was RSVZONE's fault :0)
