Just got my new '07 RSVR with the snazzy AF1 paint job

Loving the new bike, fast, nimble, nice to look at. I really just have one complaint; the sound is a bit disappointing, I was hoping for something throatier. Any advice on a good slip-on set of pipes?

oh, and what have folks done to clean up the back fender area. Most all of the kits I see are for the big 4, very little for Aprilia's out there.

Hello to ya KevMo, right... arse end, i got myself a tail tidy as they called it of ebay type in aprilia RsvR and there will be a few to choose from i am sure.
Next....Noise, I have aprilia's race cans,no complaints would recommend but i think the tigcraft exhausts are the beasties...hope you enjoy it here...:thumbup

evo akra large bore full titanium system, not quite as loud as the tigs(gud if you want to do track days), better than the small bore akras found on alot of milles

hi had a set of akros on my 05 factory looked nice good quality but a bit to quiet for my liking sold um and bought a set of twinport blueflames sets car alarms off for a pastime now sounds how a twin should and makes me smile everytime feel the noise big kev in bristol

the dual akra aprilia badged items have fairly small bores , think they goto about 93 db with the baffles out, where as the tigs and evo akra single systems are 105 and 107dbs respectively. The blueflames are certainly loud arnt they, nice and raspy too! they remind me of the shotguns I had they were really rorty!

I got the same, 07 in that colour, its great. Went for the titanium Akraprovic pipes, sounds great now i have run it in !!

I have only seen one other in this colour on the road so far, where do you live ?

I know what you mean, i have a few mates i go out riding with but the only meets i go to is Wrotham, Oakdene cafe on Wednesdays, gets quite busy on a nice day ! but its not an rsv thing..

I'm in California, just east of San Francisco. There is one other AF1 around that I know of....the freakin dealer is using it as the demo bike if you can believe that.
