Just back from Anglesey, bit of a report and some pics of the day........................

Myself and my Irish mate Big John headed of in his pikey van

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e20/redrsvr/johnsvan.jpg

on saturday morning to do two days in a row on this circuit, first day was the international and the second the coastal circuit, me having pulled muscles in my neck and shoulder about a week ago was still in bloody agony and not sure if i would get out on the bike.

Anyway i was going and so was the bike so i just had to wait and see what the sunday morning was to bring, as it turns out i was still a bit sore and decided to give it a go, once on the bike and the adrenalin kicked in all my aches and pains of the last few days were forgotten about and i got down to some serious work.

First session track was dry mostly with a fair scattering of damp patches, i was on slicks so just played it safe and bedded myself in, finished the session and came back in, went for a pee and came back out to find Big John standing talking to the track day organisers, he was covered from head to toe if bloody mud, the stoopid fecker fell of on the fifth lap, lost the front on a fairly quick section round the back of the circuit, anyway he got the bike back and pressure washed it to clean the poo of it.

What a lucky man, only thing that was broke was the screen, so new screen fitted and it was fine, he was also OK apart from a couple of friction burns.

Half way through his fourth session his 40 odd thousand mile Mille decided it was time to call it a day and started playing up, nasty engine knocks and lots of bit's of metal on his sump plug proved it was a bit terminal, mind you it has been thrashed for every one of those miles and his maintenance is not the best, so it has done him alright i suppose.

Now he has no bike for the rest of this day and the next.

Anyway back to my day, i had a blast in the fast group and was getting back to my old self again after losing a lot of confidence from my kinda fast get off at Croft in May, so thankfully the old badger was back to some kind of form  , thank feck as it was bursting my head :banghead: knowing i could do it, but my head would not allow it, a very frustrating feeling.

Finished the day and packed up and headed for the hotel and the bar, a few and an Indian later it was off to bed for the morning, i had offered my bike to Big John as he was in the inters group, which meant we could share the bike.

Morning comes and is bloody wet, my neck and shoulders are killing me, Big John did not want to ride my bike in the wet in case he threw it up the track, i really was not fit to ride so we made the decision to call it a day and head home.

We went to the track which was actually almost dry, but the wind was horrific, we sold our places to a couple of lads and said our goodbyes and headed back to Jock and Paddyland.

So it was a bit of a mixed bag, Anglesey is a blinding circuit that is well worth a visit. :thumbup

Anyway some of my pics...........................
