A mate of mine made one exactly the same. I believe he still has the template BUT, I believe the original idea and hard work came from Sabre. :thumbup
My mate had no problems making it (in about 2 days, part time) and it seemed to work as effectlively as my Renegade original - i.e. lovely induction roar and a perceived increase in power. I have read that someone used aluminium as a baseplate too.

Yes, my mate had no problems. He came to look at my original once before starting the job then just bit the bullet once his filters had arrived. Next thing, he's ringing me up so we can go for a blast.

the TL was my dream bike and i still think it looks ace but owning it was rubbish the brakes were wooden it was too heavy and the weight was low down. it was too wide for a V twin, the steering was killed by the damper and the handling was cack in fact it was the closest thing to riding a torpedo you can imagine.

I've noticed there's a couple of bikes there with Mesh round the rads. Was thinking of doing this myself. Anyone got any tips of how best to fix it on?

I can tell you how i done it,but wether its best or not :dunno
I put a couple of bigger holes in the mesh and used the bolts that hold the fans on and used a couple of cable ties across the back of the radiator top and bottom.

nice ingenuity. I quite fancied a red one but couldn't find any different coloured ones so found some red mesh and ....... I'll post a pic when I've found time to whack it on. Might give me something to do when Griff comes round (apart from making tea and fetching more jaffa cakes of course!)

Now now Tash, the prillers outnumber the MV 3 to 1 so i am still a paid up member of the gang, if the MV don't cut the mustard it might morph into a V4:doug
