Hi all,

I went out for a bit of a blast yesterday and I noticed that through some fast bends the rear end just felt a little loose. I havent adjusted anything since I got it and am unsure if it's running a standard set up on the suspension.

My slender 16.6 stone (!) I'm sure is a factor. How would I go about stiffening the rear-end a little (04 RSVR). Can you drop the front? :dunno

I'll have a look through previous posts but any ideas on set-up would be greatly appreciated. :thumbup

You probably need to go up 2 or 3 rates on the rear spring.

Is it an Ohlins or Sachs rear unit? If its an Ohlins, you will most likely need a 110 spring as opposed to the 95 stock.

It's not a factory so I'm guessing it'll be Sachs. Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Have a look through what you have got and write down how many clicks out from fully in the rear rebound (bottom of shock) and Compression is (top of shock)

Then play from there and you can always put it back to how it was. Try and make sure it is moving up and down at the same rate as the front. Push down on the seat/tank to see how it feels.

And set the rear sag with the preload. But thats another story....
