we all fall down, from time to time.

50-60 mph low-side. my posture was off, and i probably was too rough on the throttle....down she goes. Honestly, i was asking for it. That entire session i was wagging the backend around the corners. The first few times were like "YES!!!! McCoy wanna be....right here!!!". Then there were a few puckers, like...oh shit...ok, still alive next corner.

This one snuck up on me though, I was chasing down a control rider, but he had just run into traffic, so I wasn't even pushing it that hard through the corner...which is maybe why i went down...not really committing myself to hanging off the bike.

I also suspect maybe I wasn't running the best tire pressure in the world. But there's a 1000 things on the bike that maybe i could have done, but in reality it was probably just me pushing to hard.

Anyhoo....bike as you can see is mostly cosmetic. I think i'll track her proper now, and get some skinz. I rashed the tank a smidge...that really bothers me, otherwise its not too big of a deal.

My gear did its job, but my leathers are toast...and maybe my gloves too. Somehow my helmet wasn't touched...which is odd, cause right after i hit asphault i was barrel rolling across the infield. All i remember thinking was, "oh, this is going to be bad" and bringing my arms in to my chest so they didn't get broken. The rest of me just went limp and let it happen.

As a result, no damage done...and i was walking around giving everyone a thumbs up as they went by. :thumbup

Next track day is Beaver on the 21st....bigger, faster, stronger, harder.........:burnout

What he said.

Only thing is I tend to heal for free but the metal costs money.
