Found some old pics of bikes i owned and scanned them,my first Honda 750 F2

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/f2.jpg

the white VFR when it came out caused a bit of a stir

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/vfr.jpg

this is one of my fave old bikes, a 1991 EXUP painted by Bike Paints in Tech21 colours, it was mint, till i wrote it off with a kak handed wheelie that went pear shaped

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/exup.jpg

Replaced it with another EXUP in standard colours

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/exup2.jpg

chucked this one up the road and wrote it off as well :pirate

Bought this ZXR as i needed a bike quick to do a trip i had organised, did not keep it long

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/zxr.jpg

traded it in for one of these

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/blade.jpg

bought a yellow Blade after this one, but never took any pics of it, owned various other bikes in between including a few Enduro and full moto crossers, probably explains why my knees are feckin painfull all the time yes.gif

After the yellow Blade came a diet of Aprilias which has lasted for 10 years now, i luv looking back on old pics.

Oh, and not to forget the first Mille

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20n%20that/Cnv0181.jpg

followed by this one

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/p.dezeeuw/SOT604%20049.jpg

which was turned into my track bike, still looks great

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20n%20that/Dsc00878.jpg

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/cadwell.jpg

then this factory

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20n%20that/Dsc01261.jpg

which was converted into my latest track tool

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/bikesandwheels012.jpg

then sent it up the track at 110mph with this result

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/crashedbike004.jpg

rebuilt into it's current form

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/kirkistown005.jpg

and finally the current road bike

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/smokinrsvr/this%20and%20that%202/blackfactorygaragepics028.jpg

Well, that's my nostalgia for the night:thumbup

Sooper stuff...My Brother-in-law has a pretty much mint 1976 750/4 sitting in his garage (which he hasn't ridden in years) along with the RSVR (he hasn't ridden in a long time ) and the Speed Triple he bought in November, which probably won't get ridden much either!...Jammy bugger!

Why thank you kind sir:biggrin

I had a VF750 prior to the VFR, you know the one with chocolate cams:roll
i remember watching Ron Haslam put the VFR in pretty much standard trim on the podium at the Transatlantic races in 1986, run rings round the factory bikes, i had one on order then (before they were in the showrooms), imagine how excited i was when i saw Rocket doing that, could not wait to get my hands on it:doug

NB, get round and ride some of them bikes mate:devious

Top thread Badger, takes me back a bit.

Had loads of bikes myself, all Jap stuff until I saw the light, and bought the Aprilia. :roll

Unfortunately, I have no pics of ANY of mine, as I left them at the house when I split with my ex-wife 7 years ago. Needless to say, they were nowhere to be found when I went back to collect all my stuff; said she "couldn`t find them" ! :devious

Badger, just a thought, who`s the big lad on the left of the pic you`ve posted of your red Ape ?

It`s not John or Dave Ingram is it, two identical twins I used to know about 20 years ago ?

If it`s not, he`s a dead-spit of them, but as far as I know, they WERE twins.........not triplets !! :devious

Fook me Badger; small world or what ??

I just asked the question as a long-shot, and couldn`t believe it when you confirmed it, but is the lad in the pic John, or Dave ?

I used to work with John, briefly, many many moons ago, and then met Dave as well a couple of years later, when I was out somewhere, and thought he was John LOL !!

I think they both got used to being mistaken for each other, as they were absolutely identical.
