I'm up there for a 98er myself on Monday (10-Aug-2009) with Focused Events (Inters). Do pop along and say hi if you're there too!

My stock pipes/cans were 'well within the limit' at Oulton also. I too didn't record the figure, but I'm not unduly concerned for Donny:dunno.

Just remember: If it's raining, it must be Donny...

Nah, I was at Oulton on 23rd June. I had a good bit of sparring with an instructor on a 1098 (I was probably being toyed with - so to speak).

Every Donny I've done in the last 3 years has meant fitting rain tyres:roll

Had mine tested at Cadwell with standard cans on and it was 98db

Donny is not so strict. Was there with work a few weeks ago on a 98db and i've never heard such loud bikes.
You'll have no worries

Thinking of doing one at Brands maybe this week, I've got the road legal Akro's on mine, does anyone know what noise level these put out, Baffles in/out?
Would they need to be changed for standard?

when i was at oulton earlier this week, i was talking to a bloke with an rsv with akro's on. he had no baffles in them and passed the noise test. it was a 105db day.

My track bike with standard pipes = 98 db
Road bike with aftermarket cans = 104/105 db without baffles
Road bike with aftermarket cans with baffles in 101 db

MSV who own a lot of circuits (Brands/Oulton/Cadwell/Bedford/Thruxton) are quite strict on noise limits.
Donington has ride by microphones dotted around the circuit and dont usually complain being right under the flight path of East Midlands Airport

MSV owns Thruxton? News to me - and probably news to Henry Pelham who owns it, too!:dunno

Apologies - Snetterton. I knew they owned 5 circuits

Just found out today that Donington has 3 fixed sound meters around the (perimeter?) of the circuit. Focused Events don't test each bike, they just promise to black-flag you if you trigger a track-side meter.
